“A Christian should be an ‘Alleluia’ from head to foot.”
— St. Augustine
A Praise Report
Let’s start our latest positivity blog with a major “praise report” that you helped make happen. If you recall, in our most recent T’s Teatime, I introduced you to one of my wonderful listeners who created a special lawn sign to encourage folks from all denominations and walks of life to pray that God would heal our country. Diane, from St. Anthony’s in Luling, LA, was also a guest on my show, Catholic Connection, last month where she and her pastor shared the origin and inspiration of the sign. We shared the website with our Ave Maria Radio and EWTN audience, (www.stanthonyluling.org) and the requests came pouring in quite literally, with more coming from this newsletter. I heard back from Diane on Tuesday of this week and thought I would share her heartwarming thoughts on the growing popularity of the signs.
“As of now, the orders from your listeners total 1077 signs to 238 people in 41 states! (These numbers do not include the signs we have distributed locally to our parishioners and others through word of mouth). Thank you, thank you, thank you Teresa for helping us get the word out on this important prompting from the Holy Spirit to heal and save our country! Please continue to encourage everyone to tell their friends so we can achieve our goal of being in all 50 states of this great land!”
— Diane, Luling, LA
This great news should lift our spirits and remind us of the power of one person as well as the power of prayer. Just think about all the people across 41 states that just might see that lawn sign and what a difference this could make. Talk about a ripple effect! So, a big “grazie” to those of you who ordered the signs!
The Secret Garden
“He has made everything beautiful in its time.”
— Ecclesiastes 3:11
If you follow me on Facebook or the radio, you may be aware that my husband and I just returned from a short but very desperately needed get away weekend to beautiful Mackinaw Island in northern Michigan. Growing up in Michigan, I had been to this quaint spot in the blue waters of the Great Lakes many times, but I had forgotten just how quaint as well as how beautiful the island really is – especially when it comes to the natural beauty and the countless colorful gardens and fresh floral arrangements that seem to cover the landscape everywhere you turn. Whether it’s a box filled with bright blooms on someone’s front porch, or the magnificent grounds of the famous Grand Hotel, Mackinaw is a sight to behold.
So, with flowers and sunshine in mind, I hope you enjoy something new that my husband and I discovered this time around. It took our breath away and reminded us so very much of the glory of God and His creation, not to mention His incredible creativity. And gave us that spiritual shot in the arm that we all need.
I encourage you to enjoy the beauty around you, even if it’s only for 5-10 minutes a day during your lunch break, or on a morning or evening walk.
